In this revolutionary year that changed the world, Georges Caluwé sells his bakery and buys a small chocolate workshop in which he starts making artisanal pralines. His Belgian chocolates are a true delight, made with nothing but superior ingredients and pure craftsmanship. One of Georges’ sons, Albéric, follows in his footsteps. Albéric per- fects the amazing caramel, ganache and butter cream recipes. He preserves and even improves on their authentic taste and takes his products far beyond the Belgian border. Caluwé Artisan chocolates quickly gain a loyal following among chocolate lovers.
The third Caluwé generation continues the great family tradition. Koen – Georges’ grandson – writes a new chapter. With great respect for his father and grandfather’s achievements, he safeguards the artisan production of the praline fillings and adds to it with cutting-edge chocolate enrobing and moulding techniques.
